AvtoVAZ has revealed new details about the release of Lada Largus in Izhevsk

In November, AvtoVAZ plans to produce the first Lada Largus bodies at the Izhevsk plant. This is reported in a video that was published in the official community “At the factory” in the social network “VKontakte”. At the moment, the company has already sent 70 sets of body stamping equipment. Five plastic molds were also delivered to the plant.
At the Izhevsk enterprise, the lines on which Largus was produced at the Tolyatti plant will be reproduced as accurately as possible (laser trackers will be used for this, among other things). At the latter, six welding robots have already been dismantled and sent to the enterprise in Izhevsk. Their place on the assembly line in Togliatti will be taken by new equipment.
The transfer of Lada Largus production to Izhevsk is connected, among other things, with plans to load the first line of the conveyor in Togliatti, where in the short term it is planned to significantly increase the production of Vesta family cars, as well as to put the Lada Aura executive sedan and a new crossover on the Vesta platform on the conveyor.
A break in the release of Largus will allow Russian suppliers to master an additional range of components to increase the localization of production.
