The new normal and the new better things in Christ

New things have come. The new normal is here. The old way of life as we know it is gone. Things will never be the same. The virus has changed our lives to be more difficult in different ways. Social distancing. Wearing of masks. Disinfecting hands, surfaces, and things that we bring into our homes. Fear of the future is among us. And all that many times results in anxiety on peoples’ faces.
But Christ has come as the Messiah and has brought better new things to us. A better ministry, through a better covenant, established on better promises. A new ability to love God. To know God, both of which come from a new relationship with God - being forgiven all of our sins and him never remembering our sins against us.
Hebrews 8:6, 10-12
"But as it is, Christ has obtained a ministry that is as much more excellent than the old as the covenant he mediates is better since it is enacted on better promises."
"For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the Lord: I will put my laws into their minds,
and write them on their hearts, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. And they shall not teach, each one his neighbor and each one his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest. For I will be merciful toward their iniquities, and I will remember their sins no more.”
