Who are the blessed ones by Jesus' Father?

"Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world." (Matthew 25:34)

The entrance into the kingdom of God has been prepared since before God laid the foundation of the world, for those who have been blessed by the King Jesus' Father freely as a gift of his mercy.

In Romans 9:23,24 they are called "objects of mercy that he [God] prepared beforehand for glory...not only from the Jews but also from the Gentiles".

And this great gift of the kingdom of God and his glory is a free gift of his mercy and grace to those who have not done anything to deserve it because it was prepared for them and they were prepared for it before time even began.

Those blessed ones are also those who now are known to Jesus as his sheep who will be on his right hand at the judgment on the last day.

Today these sheep of the King Jesus are "the righteous [who] will answer him [on the last day], ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and take you in, or without clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick, or in prison, and visit you? ’
“And the King will answer them, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ (Matthew 25:37-40)

So the mark of a sheep of Jesus is love and care for those who love Jesus "even the least" of them. And loving and caring for even "the least of these brothers and sisters" of Jesus is truly loving Jesus himself.

What is your and my heart's attitude toward Jesus' followers? Love or indifference? By your attitude to Jesus' sheep, you will know if you love or are indifferent even to Jesus.
