Our "heads held high"

Leviticus 26:11-13 says,
"I will put my dwelling place [tabernacle or presence] among you, and I will not abhor you [because of your sin]. I will walk among you and be your God, and you will be my people. I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt so that you would no longer be slaves to the Egyptians; I broke the bars of your yoke and enabled you to walk with heads held high."

"The renewal of your mind"

There are scripts that play at the back of our minds and they talk lies to us.

These scripts make us self-absorbed and preoccupy us with ourselves. They make us unhappy and miserable and empty. You know what I'm talking about.

Anxieties, humility, God, and Satan

"Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world." (1 Peter 5:6-9)

Humility is not something the world likes or promotes. But a humble person in God's eyes is a picture of a true devotion to God.

Freedom in Christ

"It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery." (Galatians 5:1)

Christ has already set us free from our need to measure up to God's, ours, or other people's standard of good or righteousness.

Where do we find our worth?

It is not in people or in things, but only in God that I and you, can find worth, significance and importance. Everyone and everything will fail, but God never will.

Here's a question for you and I, 'Where, or in whom or in what do I validate my life in?'

Here's a test to help us where we're at with God: If I live by finding my value in people, things, careers, money and etc., anxiety and worry will dominate my mind. But if I live by trusting in God, finding my worth in him, peace and joy and courage will dominate my mind.

"The prayers of many"

"You also must help us by prayer, so that many will give thanks on our behalf for the blessing granted us through the prayers of many." (2 Corinthians 1:11)

On God's gift of love and passion

Jesus is the only one who can satisfy a man's heart in a way a woman can't. And Jesus is the only one who can satisfy a woman's heart in a way a man can't.

So can a man and a woman live without a romantic love? Yes they can. But should a man and a woman seek to love each other? Should we pursue romantic relationships as Christians? It depends on a gift you have.

"There is no difference"

"There is no difference between Jew and Gentile, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus."(Romans 3:22b-24)

"There is no difference", between Jew and Gentile, or between Gentile and Gentile. Simply, "there is no difference", period.

Why is there no difference between a person and a person when it comes to standing before God as our judge? Because we all, every single one of us have sinned. But not only once, we still sin, we still "fall short of the glory of God".
