BMW has started road tests of the new generation X3 crossover. Spy photos from the tests were posted by the Motor1 edition. According to them, the premiere of the car should take place in the first half of next year. Serial production of the novelty will begin no earlier than August 2024.

In the photos, the car is still hidden under dense camouflage. However, it can already be said that the crossover will receive LED boomerang-shaped front optics, red brake calipers and new bumpers with a large air intake. The car will also increase in size compared to the current X3.

The engine range of the future X3 will include gasoline and diesel power units. Customers will also be offered hybrid modifications of the crossover. The “charged” M-version will also be presented, which, according to unofficial data, has already received the G97 index.

The new X3 will certainly appear on the Russian market. The current crossover, as recognized by domestic dealers, is currently the most popular car in our country for parallel imports. Most often, sellers can find a car only in top-end trim levels. For example, in a large Moscow car dealership, buying an all-wheel drive BMW X3 xDrive20i with a two-liter gasoline engine with a capacity of 184 hp will cost 8 675 000 rubles.
