Chinese sedan Kaiyi E5, which is produced at the factory of “Avtotor” in Kaliningrad, received a new “sports” modification on the domestic market called Luxury Sport. According to the “Russian newspaper”, the novelty has become the most expensive complete set of the car and costs 2 193 000 rubles.
However, the only difference between the Luxury Sport version and the regular sedan is the new bumper with red accents. The car received LED optics, a touch multimedia system, an analog dashboard with a small on-board computer display, black mirrors, forked exhaust pipes, 17-inch wheels.
Kaiyi E5 is based on the 2013 Chery Arrizo 7 sedan. The car is equipped with an alternative 1.5-liter turbo engine, which in Russia has a power of 147 hp and 210 nm of torque (in China 156 hp and 230 nm), and a variator. A version with manual transmission will also appear in the future. The maximum speed is 210 km/h. Fuel consumption in mixed mode is 9.8 liters per 100 km.
In November 2023, the flagship crossover Kaiyi X7 Kunlun will debut in Russia. The car is built on the T1X platform, which is also used by Chery cars. In the Russian market, the front-wheel drive car will be presented with a 2-liter gasoline turbo engine with a capacity of 249 hp.
