Uzbekistan has sent the first batch of workers to the AVTOVAZ plant. This is reported by “Prime” with reference to the Agency for External Labor Migration of Uzbekistan. They noted that all employees successfully passed job contests organized by employers from Russia before being sent to the enterprise.
Selections among citizens of Uzbekistan were held in Tashkent and other regions of the country. What vacancies they will occupy at the plant will not be specified. Earlier, the agency reported that it was discussing with AvtoVAZ the possibility of employing 500 citizens of the country to work on the assembly line of the automobile plant.
In early September, AvtoVAZ announced plans to increase production of Lada cars. By the end of the year, the company plans to produce more than 400,000 cars.

The most popular Lada model remains Granta, which sold 16,785 units, which is 44.9% more than in August 2022. In second place is the Lada Vesta family, which was preferred by 9807 buyers.
The first three are completed by Lada Niva Travel SUVs with a result of 5399 cars sold. Lada Niva Legend is in fourth place. During the month, 4,057 such SUVs were sold in Russia. The company stressed that this is the best indicator since 2014.
