Ford has introduced a hybrid version of the Ranger pickup truck, the brand’s press service said in a statement. This is the first version in the history of the model with a gasoline-electric power plant.

The main changes are in the technical part. The power plant is based on a 2.3-liter EcoBoost turbo engine, which works together with an electric motor and a small battery. The company does not provide detailed specifications yet, however, they note that such a pickup truck is capable of overcoming up to 45 km on a single charge.
So far, the hybrid Ford Ranger has been announced only for the European market. There is no information about the dates of the appearance of this modification in North America. Production of the car will begin in the first months of 2024, and the start of sales is scheduled for early 2025.
