The British brand Lotus presented its new model Emeya. The manufacturer refers it to the Gran Turismo class, but formally it is a sporty four-door sedan.
This is a production car that will go on sale in early 2024. Since the Lotus brand currently belongs to the Geely concern, the car will be produced in China, but it was designed by British specialists.
The Emeya has a fully electric all-wheel drive with a capacity of 918 hp. This is enough to accelerate the car from a standstill to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds. The maximum speed of the car is limited to 255 km/h.

The electric motors are powered by a 102 kilowatt-hour traction battery. Its charge is enough for 600 kilometers of travel. The measurements were made according to the WLTP method adopted in Europe.
This is the first self-built sedan in the history of Lotus. Before the brandI made a four-door Carlton model, but it was a seriously redesigned Opel Omega sedan in technical terms, and not a completely independent development.
Earlier Autonews.ru I wrote about the electric crossover Lotus Eletre, which is also produced in China. Russian dealers have already started to bring such machines for parallel import at a price of 15.8 million rubles.
